The course has been constructed according to a clear methodology, developed by the author, Claire Selby, over fifteen years as a successful writer of English teaching materials. The Spiral Language SystemTM is a child-centric approach. It focuses on the ways that children learn best, so that children can engage better, perform more readily and retain the learning longer. The children absorb English through activities that develop the whole preschool child – the skills and knowledge that are a normal part of the preschool day. The course provides home and school learning materials. the home materials are 'edutainment' based and start by setting the scene for learning English with an animated adventure. Children watch the animation at home and so they start each new lesson with that context in mind. The short films in the Teacher's Lesson Plans are presentations of vocabulary by a native speaker in the context of the new animated story.
